Christians Against Poverty

Throughout Jesus’ life, He had real compassion and a desire to help those struggling. At Holy Trinity we are passionate about bringing hope and freedom to those in our community who are struggling with debt and money management.

In January 2021 we opened the Wallington Debt Centre in partnership with Christians Against Poverty, an award-winning charity, to offer free help to anyone with debt. CAP enables about 2,000 people a year in the UK to become debt free. Its service is completely free and available to all regardless of faith, age, gender, race, disability or sexual orientation.

If you are feeling weighed down by debt, then we can help. You may think your situation is impossible, but there is hope. Our friendly team led by Peter (our CAP Debt Centre Manager) will meet with you face to face and provide you with a professional solution to your debts and support you as you go through the process.

Listen to Melinda, from Mitcham, tell her story of how she came to our debt centre, became debt free and found so much more in the process.

Listen to what Martin Lewis has to say about Christians Against Poverty on ITV’s This Morning.

Hi, I’m Peter Brown, the debt centre manager. What I love about my role is seeing the renewed hope and peace that many of our clients experience as they begin to deal with their finances and eventually reach freedom from debt.

Whenever that happens we love to celebration the occasion with our clients.

If this is you, call CAP’s free debt line, 0800 328 0006. Someone kind will answer the call and arrange for you to meet up with your local debt coach, which is likely to be me if you live in the Wallington area.

We understand that just asking for help may seem like a real challenge for you. Maybe your situation seems hopeless. But there is a way out. There is hope.
